I was helping a friend out, and in appreciation- he gave me a couple of big bottles of "Simple Green"

Great stuff, I've used it to clean up all sorts of things in the past.

I have a couple of rough spots on the garage floor that I was going to cement patch, and was wondering if anyone had actually used Simple Green to clean / prep the garage floor ?

TIA

Good for cleaning before you start your prep. Prep for coatings is a proper acid etch or better yet and recommended by most, a diamond grind.

I have not used it for prep, but I keep a pump sprayer of simple green for floor cleaning. I we the floor, spray it down, scrub, rinse and squeegee. Works great.

Light Engine Degreasing
Washing clothing (with grease/oil)

and much more.... plus it smells decent

That's advice that I would definetely be following.

Simple Green is awesome stuff in my opinion, I buy it in gallon jugs and refill a few different spray bottles around the house and garage. If I was patching a floor like you mention, I'd be using something "harsher."
