Can I possibly rent a floor buffer to do a deep cleaning of my epoxy (well urethane top coat) floor?

Not sure if there is a pad available suitable for this or if anything I used would be too abrasive.

Thanks

Do not use a buffer. It will effectively degloss the surface. Concrete coatings are not like wax and cannot be polished up.

Oh no no no no! You'll ruin it. My friend made the same mistake, luckily he noticed it right away so he didn't have to fix much. For a very dirty floor we used sweeping, than mopping with water/ammonia mix. Of course it didn't look like a new one but it was much better than before. Remember: no abrasives, no citrus or acid-based cleaning compounds as they will break down the epoxy catalyst. Certainly no floor buffer.

After a floor sweep or blow I use warm water, ammonia and maybe a dash of liquid detergent to mop my epoxy floors. They come up just like new.

We have seen people wax epoxy but it is not recommended and can make the floor slippery.
