I've got a new epoxy garage floor. I like to wash my cars in the garage, when I do this it leaves the floor somewhat messy. WHat's the best and quickest way to clean the floor? I don't have a floor drain, so if there is a lot of water I have to push it out of the garage. I tried a squeegee, but it didn't work very well on the very dirty parts. Should I buy a mop and a bucket and use that? What do other people do?

Describe the "very dirty" parts. My (epoxy)floor is 2 weeks old. I was planning to buy a squeegee and just hose it out periodically using the highest pressure from my garden hose nozzle. I wash my cars in the drive-way.

Let's see some pics.

Other than washing the car in the driveway, the best thing to do is get a mop and some Simple Green. To clean my epoxy floor, I hose it down completely to get loose dirt, spray the floor with undiluted Simple Green and then mop. Mop gets rinsed after each quandrant of the floor. Rinse, squeegee, and you're done.

If you're really set on washing the car in the garage, take a look at some of the no-rinse car wash systems.

What kind of squeegee were you using? When I was in college I worked in the cafeteria and we had these huge soft rubber squeegees. I was planning on getting one of those for my garage.

Plan on having all that dirt piled up outside the garage door and driving your car through it tracking it inside unless you wash it to one side.
