Cleaning PSA glue/stuff from disk grinders

I have a 16" "wheel o' death" grinder/sander and I dread changing the disk because it takes me half the day to get all the gluey **** off of the wheel.

Today I had an idea. After pulling old disk off, I turned it on and went at it with a heavy knotted wire wheel on an angle grinder for about 2 minutes. The remaining **** wiped off with an acetone soaked rag.

heat gun makes it almost painless. what's left i clean with a scotch brite or steel wool while the disc is spinning, sometimes by hand sometimes turning the machine on.

Biggest issue I have with disc sanders is discs wont stay stuck as well as they should. usually i use the lowest 3M adhesive after cleaning it real good with purple power. debris is the main reason both for the glue to not stick, and the discs being hard to peel. the PSA stuff isn't that strong of a glue, but dust and slag turn it from concrete dust to concrete with rocks & rebar.

I would LOVE to have a 16" disk for woodwork.

I like the heat gun, or even good hairdryer warming, like 10 minutes + (MAYBE hot enough) , most adhesive should come off w the old disk.

Even handheld propane torch, applied constantly moving, CAREFULLY.

Again, most adhesive should come off on the old disk.

Acetone and sharp razor scraper used intellegintly or similar for remains.
