Cleaning remnants of tool box liner?

I bought a used tool box, and threw out the old liners because they were pretty shredded. It left a bunch of remnants, though. They're like bits of plastic now. I can flick them off, but there's A LOT of them in all the drawers. Any cleaner that will get them all up, and not damage the tool box paint?

Plastic razor blade or putty knife?

I would try WD40 and a plastic blade.
