Work wise I haven't been involve in any leaking rivet repairs most have been welded up at this point. Your leak could be on the suction side of the lift pump, small enough to not make trouble during operation when the lift pump is working but leaks down over time. Good luck with the repair either way.

Thanks, JB.

I've replaced the line from the tank to the lift pump, but haven't replaced the primer bulb yet. I put plastic under it and keep a fresh paper towel on the plastic. It is at the low point and no stain on the towel at all.

Andy, it's good to see you and Bob still have a relationship! Loved the lathe work, with home made brass to boot!
Thank you! Bob the cat or Bob the one armed bandit? Both are valuable associates.

I really like making things out of scrap brass. I'm not much of a machinist but if you go slow you can do quite a bit.

Hoping you and yours are safe from the fires.
Missed me by a mile. But it's been busy around here. Lots of houses lost.
I have a piece of hexagon stock just like that. 🤗

Beautiful gate.
I seem to remember missing a piece of brass stock.

Thanks!
So that's where mine went. 😜
No, he took mine. Wait, were you here too?
I was thinking the same thing. 😉
That you were here? Oh ****, my memory is failing.

Good news is it appears the primer bulb was the air leak culprit. It has an internal check valve and the check was apparently leaking just a bit. Not sure where air is getting in but a new bulb has stopped it from flowing back to the tank.

I need one of those on my Chevelle.

Over the winter I had a sore throat. I put a lot of salt into some hot water then left it on the counter to sip for an occasional gargle.

It had free salt in the bottom and salt collected around the top. Picturesque. One day I noticed it had made giant crystals in the bottom.

I was very surprised.

Large cubes made up of small cubes, I assume those small cubes were made up of tiny cubes.

That's our science moment for the day children...
