Cleaning your shop??

Ok I just cleaned and painted my shop. I have more work to do, but with a new epoxy floor and it looking nice can you all tell me your technique for cleaning the shop? As a kid I cleaned the gas station nightly with soap and water.
Do you do it weekly, after the job, do you do it at all.
Some of the shops hold cars, mine is working shop with out drains in the cold north.
SO mops? Brooms? Get your wife to do it - right!

I clean it as needed. One side is covered in sawdust from making 4 sets of ******** games. The other still has tools out from swapping the engine on the log splitter.

Store nothing on the floor, and you'll be able to clean up pretty quickly with an air line. I try to do it after every project.

If you keep on top of it, it's easy. If you don't, it's not.

echo leaf blower as needed... just open up all the doors and go at it....

My shop cleaning goes like this...First I look around for anything that can be tossed or recycled and take care of that. Then any tools or equipment that are out get put away. Then any materials and supplies. Then out comes the leaf blower or the air hose. Open the doors and let loose. After the dust settles (usually a few days!) I begin cleaning counters/bench/desk surfaces and then the floors. For the real big cleanings, I dust off all the artwork and have a fund raising car wash for my die cast collection. All the proceeds go to me!

I'm with Digger......except my leaf blower is electric....but it stays plugged in....anytime I do some woodworking....I blow the garage out.....

What is working well is that the cabinets I have made so far do NOT touch the ground....everything is elavated about 8" off the floor....makes cleaning a lot easier....and I find that it's easier to work....and keep clean if you do it daily...

My shop is also my garage, so dirt gets tracked in/blown in. A couple of times a year I take a floor scrubber/buffer I dug out of the trash (just needed a new cord) and toss a few buckets of Simple Green and water on the floor and go back and forth with the scrubber pads. A floor squeegee sends it out the door and I repeat once with clear water.

Although tools are always put away properly, the newly picked up and clean floor usually inspires me to clean/organize the counters and benchtops as well. Feels good; should do it more often...

I myself was like when I first heard of of the game too. It's basically a safe version of horse shoes. I made a set for my daughter at college, now I just hope when she says we played ******** . . . .

I mop the floor occasionally but I scrub the floor a couple times each summer with a good old fashioned stiff bristle broom and laundry detergent.

I've only sweep the floor and sometimes spray it down with water while brooming it and rinse clean, this seems work well. I think a epoxy would clean better with just a sweeping nut there's too many oil spills in my shop. I have a tractor that leaks hydraulic fluid that needs attention. too many projects.

Sweep weekly. Used to mop monthly but as the floor wore I got less infatuated with it and mop when needed which isn't enough lol! Usually every 3 months unless a bad mess was incurred.

I must say the "********" game had me LMAO! Innocent enough, but man they should've changed the name!!!!

I blow out the garage, bring in the hose, and scrub it. I do this roughly 3 times a month. Or after doing a dirty job.

I clean in the spring,and in the fall!
I have no drain,but I put down some simple green and work in small areas so not to get everything wet.
