I think this may be my first post on here.....I have gotten lots of great ideas from other people's posts, and figured it was time for me to share!
These are some pictures of the current project from this past weekend. Hoping to have it cleaned up and organized this weekend. Planning on insulating sometime next year (one thing at a time). It took almost a full day to organize the tool boxes :eyecrazy: One half of the garage is close to done!!

Definitely won't! Sometimes you get so wrapped up in all the cool stuff on this forum, that you don't know where to post first!

Keep at it! Some days you just get one thing done, some days nothing. Then you get those days when it just flows and you get a great deal more than expected done.

I've only hit one deadline in 3 years on my shop cleaning and organizing, but I don't get discouraged.

Please post your progress. Seeing posts like your are inspiration to those of us who still have the garage on the list to do.

My garage I got somewhat organized and clean to fit a car in it. Then the wife wanted tiles floors... well there is still stuff from that in the garage, three years later.

Egnorant - great advice, maybe I should heed your advice as I am one of those guys who are "All or stressed to hell".

I should have more to post very soon! Have to move some electrical outlets around now that the workbench is in the back of the garage, couple more lights, a better top for the workbench. Little by little it will get there!

Which are the "Before" pics and which are the "After"?

Ha ha, nah...just bustin yer balls. It's how you know we like you, if we ignored your post you'd know we didn't care.

It looks a lot better than mine right now. I've need to get out there are rearrange, reorganize for several months now but I've been busy with a lot of non-garage stuff. You can take a swipe at me when I ever post my own photos. It looks good, keep at it. "The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step..." And all that.

Must have been burned out from the weekend, only spent an hour in the garage last night, still going through piles of old paperwork and misc stuff that was in my tool box. A little bit every night, makes for more production on the weekends.
I have to say, that my Fiance was right there with me all weekend helping me build, organize and clean the place. I think it's because she really wants to park her truck in there this winter....
More pics to come this weekend! Thanks everyone!

Looking for some suggestions!
I want to insulate my garage in spring (ran out of time and money this year) drywall would be nice, but not sure if I should or not. Does the insulation need to be covered? If I do have to drywall (or put something up) that just means I need to pull all of the conduit off the walls and just run romex through the studs....

Feel free to leave some input, ideas, suggestions.

Thanks!

Nice project. I would well think out my electrical needs and do them now or first. I am not all that big a fan of drywall in a shop, but in a regular garage that is to be painted and decorated, it is good. I would certainly want a covering over exposed insulation, want it to be sealed off, and the electrical wiring as well, so you will need to put up some kind of wall boarding. There are many options of paneling and even metal. Also it is the time to think about any cabinets or shelving you will want, and install framing for that.

Keep us posted!!

Definitely not looking for the decorated garage. I was leaning towards drywall for lack of a better idea, and I figured I could paint it white and get the garage a little brighter. I figured just a thin plywood might even work. Shelving is probably good as it is, but electrical has to be moved.
Thanks for the input!
