Clear acrylic repair

I am looking for a permanent repair of a “star” crack in a clear acrylic automotive part. The area is highly visible so I want the repair to be as invisible as possible. The “star” is not in pieces, it is just cracked in an area about an inch square. I have experience polishing acrylic and have had excellent results, I am anticipating the repair will need to be polished after it is completed. I have done some research on the subject and it looks like a UV resin that cures transparent is what I should use. I see Amazon has many choices but I would prefer to purchase a product from a well known plastic source, not Amazon.
Has anyone had any experience in repairing clear acrylic? I am open to listening to experience and suggestions.
I have attached a photo, it is difficult to obtain a good picture when shooting clear acrylic but the area needing repair is visible.

You're sure it's acrylic? If so model cement in the thinnest version will wick in there. Get the one with the needle cap. Test on the edge.

If this is polycarbonate, new game.

Acetone or lacquer thinner will readily ruin the surface of acrylic. If you run it on the edge with a cotton ball, fibers will stick almost instantly. Poly is harder, but subject to acetone as well. Just not like acrylic, or Plexiglas as it's trademark goes.

That's why model cement is mostly toluene.
