Clear Bra equivalent?

My son and I built a bumper of 1 1/2 hot rolled tubing and finished off with Rustoleum. The issue is the paint quickly gets "sand blasted" off from the road salt etc. I was thinking of repainting it then applying a Clear Bra like product to protect it. Short of going to a Clear Bra dealer and buying an expensive remnant, I was wondering if anyone new of an equivelant that is available to the general public?

why not powder coat it? once you clear bra it the cost wont be much different

they have bra sprays. they also have coatings that are essentially like another layer of clear.

personally, i would clean it up and do a hard body treatment from wolf chemicals. read up about it. wolf coatings has changed my car care by leaps and bounds.

You can buy clear bra material pretty cheap online.... You could also have it done with beadliner or powdercoated as mentioned... The other option is use an epoxy paint, it will hold up much better then what I am guessing is rattle can paint you are using.

Clear bra is different....
A rock will still chip paint. It won't on clear bra.
The optical clarity - look is a different matter....
You can nudge/kiss a corner of the bumper on a wall lightly and there may be paint transferrence, but Hard Body won't save the paint.

OP. How was it painted. You need to let it CURE out before even considering clearbra. On repaints, it CAN lift the paint if/when you decide to remove the clear bra as well.

I was thinking truck bed liner as well for a tough coating. Otherwise I would do powder coat if you want the painted appearance.
What about using rubber or a hose on it for a durable cover
