Hi folks - quick question. Turning a spare space (20x12) in my basement into a hang-out/music room for my sons. I put down two coats of Lowe's Valspar semi-gloss on the smooth concrete floor just to make it uniform and clean looking. For fun I painted a large pattern on the floor - now I would like to protect it a little since it will see light traffic - my wife makes all kids take off shoes in the house so it will likely only see "sock" traffic. Can I clear coat over the paint using the clear from an expoy kit - or is this not appropriate for this time of interior/exterior paint? If not, what should I use to give the floor some shine and some protection?
