I have just ALMOST finished my floor. I used rustoleaum pro (or solvent based solids) The final step was clear coating which I recomend because it brought out the color of the floor and chips greatly. I wasn't impressed until I clear coated. The thing is, the clear goes down nice and easy as you have a smooth base. The hard part was SEEING where you painted it and where you didn't! I did small sections and had all kinds of light. Incadescent 4/100watts, 2 quartz halogen spotlights, and sunlight from 4 windows, one door and 2 garage doors. I thought I did a great job until it was dry and I could see all the small patches I missed with the clear coat :dunno: So I am ordering another clear coat @ $95 shipped just to do patchwork. So if your going to clearcoat have another set of eyes to help you!

Your welcome. I am not sure many clear coat or if many had this problem. But I am going to employ a spotter for patchwrok even though I will mark all the patches w/ plastic cups like a crime scene marking all the pieces of evidence of my first failure or as I like to call it, first learning experience. Then when its done I CAN celebrate:beer: and even spill beer on it.:bounce:
