Clear epoxy, no primer.

I'm planning on staining my new floor, and would like to cover with clear epoxy.

My question is, will the lack of primer lessen the quality/longevity of the finish?

Is there a priming method for clear epoxy?

Apply (2) coats of your epoxy. Coat 1 is your primer, hopefully not 100% solids, better to have a thinner primer.

priming epoxy is meant for good penetration and bonding....highly recommended, especially in a garage where hot tires are a concern
