Clear epoxy over VCT or just polish?

Wonder if anyone else has done this and what happens when the tiles expand and contract. Will the sealer flake?

I was debating installing VCT tiles on my garage floor. My question is what type of prep or problems do you see me having since my floor has an 9 yr old two part epoxy currently down. I was planning on cleaning it but I was hoping to avoid sanding/grinding all the paint up. The epoxy stayed on pretty well with a few spots coming up from repeated hot tires, etc.

Any recommendations would be helpful.

You shouldn't need to do that since it sounds like your current floor is in decent condition. Anything sticks to that glue.
