Anyone know of,or used a clear sealer for concrete block? During heavy rain storms any water blown onto my block walls will migrate through causing the inside to get damp. I know that dry-lock paint is available but only comes in colors (white or gray) and I don't want to paint the walls since neither of those match my garage. Its not a hydrostatic pressure issue so I'm thinking a clear sealer would be the answer but I can't seem to find one, I'm assuming it would have to be pretty thick stuff. I searched but couldn't find anything definitive.:dunno:

Good news - Yes, there's a clear sealer available. I used it on brick. It works well and has held up well over the years. It leaves kind of a satin finish. It sounds like your wall is very porous so you may need 2 coats. It's not thick at all and seems to penetrate the surface a bit.

Bad news - I can't remember the name of it.

I think I got it at a masonry supply place. I'm sure somebody here will know what it is.

BASF makes a product called Enviroseal PBT. It is an great product, I have sold it for years with great results, it is very expensive but should solve your problem. It can be found at most concrete and masonry supply houses just look in your yellow pages or do a google search for your local supply houses, you will not find it in a big box store it is to specialized for that.
