Clear/translucent tape

Tape is a tool, right ?!!!

I'm looking for clear/translucent tape for general repairs. What I really would like is clear PVC (electricians) tape. Something with a little bit a stretch and reasonable strength. This rules out your household "scotch" tape and packing tape (not flexible enough).

Anything like this exist ?

theres cloth tape that has the strands in it, very strong, or there is clear duck tape or gorrilla tape depending on what you can get hold of

Lowes sells a tape like you are describing with the weatherstripping and winter weatherproofing area. I think this is it...

You could also use hockey "clear" tape. It's used on hockey socks and is generally clear or slightly yellowish. It's a thicker version of electrical tape.

Hockey shin pad tape. It's stretchy sticky, and leaves no residue.
You're in Michigan, so any decent sporting goods store will have it cheap.

Personally I'm a huge fan of self fusing silicone tape, and it's available in clear. It's extremely stretchy. If you're not familiar with it, it only adheres to itself, so it must go all the way around your piece. It fuses to itself, pretty must permanently. I'm sure it's available much cheaper than the link, I just copied the first one I found.
