I did a search and didn't find much on the topic. What is a good or better cleco set. Pliers and a few clecos? I see I don't need the best as this is for auto uses not aircraft. Thanks in advance.

I bought a set from BrownTool that had the pliers and 10 of each size. It wasn't expensive and has been all I need for what I do.

I'm not sure how they stack up to the other sources but I bought my sets from Vintage Trailer Supply for doing work on Airstreams. I though I was out of the Airstream thing so I sold all I had. Now I wish I had them back.

Ive bought all of my cleco stuff from Aircraft Spruce. It wasnt a kit, just bought a set of the pliers and however many cleco pins i thought i needed at the time, and have added to that a few times. Good prices and they carry all sorts of little doo-dads you didnt know you needed

I bought my set of them, with the wrench, from the Eastwood Company. They have sets, or you can buy the items individually if you need more.

They have two sizes of the panel holders. One is used with a 1/8 inch hole, and one is used with a 3/16 inch hole.

The 1/8 is for regular sheet metal and the 3/16 is for thicker materials.

Bought mine from a car racing parts supplier out of Florida years ago. Got an air riveter at the same time. Not racing now so they're not used as much now.

Thanks for the ideas. Aircraft Spruce was the most interesting but shipping was half again the price for clecos and pliers. I think I have found a set on eBay that will work. I won't be using them that much so I don't need the best.
