Clever under stairs storage ideas needed!

I know some of you here have tackled this challenge to utilize that dead space under stairs. Let's see what you've come up with!

This isn't exactly what you asked for, but here is a stair I built with storage.

The opposite side has shallow shelves for storage.

Forgive the Mad Carpentry Skilz; I'm more of a wrench turner.

Make each stair riser a drawer. There is a pic out there somewhere on the interwebz. Maybe Pinterest, I can't remember where I saw it....old age you know.

I have a 4'x4' landing on my stairs about 12" off the floor that have 2 steps leading up to it. I always thought it would be cool to hinge the steps and use the space under it for covert storage. I need a solid weekend to rig something up...

I've seen the drawers on each step, which I'm seriously contemplating.

I try to use every cubic inch of space available. Sorry for the long post, but I built a lot of details around this stairway and I thought some of you might get a kick out of it.

Here’s an overall view for reference when looking at the details that follow.

In the area below the stairs, I did a number of things. A 3-compartment SS sink resides there

With sound system and Blu-ray player above the sink.

I squeezed in a hidden washer for the nasty shop rags.

A little recessed garbage can is included outboard of the washer.

Jack stands and motorcycle jack store in this nook

Risers on the stairs either come off completely or are hinged for access. One of them gives access to the washer hookups.

Using that odd triangular space above the stairs, I installed some deep cabinets to use the space. The bottom corners of these cabinets define the ceiling of the stairs:

I also mounted air, power, and light reels in that same area:

Alongside the stairway, I made what I call a “Plywood Pocket”. It’s just a recess in the wall for 4x8 foot sheet goods to be stood up on their end and be out of sight. On the outside it is my whiteboard so I can doodle up new designs for projects I’m working on.
