i need a spray painting area in my new garage, but floor space is limited.
i was looking at open face spray booths on ebay, and then it hit me...why not make the sides on hinges, so i could close the sides when not in use and reclaim that floor space, also, the folded in walls would contain and hide the fan and filters.
ok, sounds good!! too good for me to have come up with, somebody else must have done this before...lets see what you built.

It's been talked about before. I saved some pics from somebody esle's design so they get credit for it, not me.

Oops sorry I'm on my laptop and they're on the home PC. :wtf:

Here they are. Like I said above, I'm not sure who they belong too, I saved them awhile ago.

Both are cool, though the hard walled one seems likes overkill for most guys unless they do a LOT of full auto painting at home. I've always wanted a small workbench-top sized spray booth and the plastic roll down one gives me ideas. It would have to be something that would set up and tear down in a matter of a minute or two, thoerwise I could just staple plastic up and tear it down.

Dan,
How about a shower curtain rod made for a clawfoot tub ? It'd be square with rounded corners.
