Close quarters drill for polishing

Last week I was passing Bu the discount table and came across this Milwaukee close quarters drill marked down to $40. There was nothing wrong with it other than HD wasn't carrying them anymore due to being a slow moving item. Couldn't not pick it up at that discount an knowing that I have an immediate use for it. That immediate use still alludes me somehow.

Now my question is, is can I dual purpose this as a variable speed polisher?

It may not be considered ideal, but it can definitely used as a close quarters polisher.

We use a lot of Buff and Shine 3" foam and wool pads to polish small parts and areas. They are better than most because the pad "cups" over the support pad edge which helps keep you from accidentally scuffing the surface.

That drill for $40. is a "you ****" deal, usually sell for at least that used. My favorite corded drill, very comfortable to use. I have 1 like the one in the link (3/8" Milwaukee), a Milwaukee 1/2", and another Sioux 3/8". Haven't used mine to polish, but seems like it would work well, the trigger is long and very controllable for speed.
