Cloudy Sealer

I recently poured a 3750 sq foot slab and wanted a nice slick finish, which I did get.
I then asked contractor which sealer to use and he told me to call rental store they could help me with that. So when I got there they suggested a cure and seal product with 2 coats.
To make a long story short it looked great for 2 days and it rained Got cloudy again and rental store told me to give it another week for the crete to cure and then should be fine. Well it did clear up but when any water gets on it from the top it gets cloudy again. Is this suppose to happen, did I do something wrong, sealer bad or what?

Did you tell the rental place that this was for an open slab, as in no roof? They may have sold you a water based sealer. When it gets wet it turns cloudy? If so this is not good.

Sure sounds like you got a water-based sealer. Manufacturers claim it will eventually cure and stop blushing, but many users disagree. It could be stripped off and replaced by a solvent-based sealer, but you'll have to decide if it's worth the effort.

This may be a reverse issue. Your sealer maybe trapping moisture coming from under the slab. Consult the manufacturer, ask if the sealer is for outside use.
