I can't locate my alignment tool sence I did a nice Vett that came in. What do you think about this one and is it USA? Please fellows

Have had that happen to me before. If in a pinch you might try a couple of deep well sockets. A smaller one for the pilot bearing, and slide a larger one over it that fits the clutch disk.

I've done it with the socket and with a large wooden dowel.

I like the dowel. We took a large dowel and sort of grinded it down to make the ends sort of sharp to help align things.

Years ago I had a commerical wooden one. It worked well.

I have an extra input shaft for aligning the clutch in my GTO. :D

My Dad has a Napa/KD made one, Cripe's had them, not sure if they still do. Likely made in Taiwan now.

I myself like the splined ones that come with the clutch set. They are easy to use.

I usually align by touch on the edge of the clutch plate to the edge of the pressure plate. Always seems to work unless the plate is significantly smaller than the P Plate, or for multi disk clutches.

Socket/socket! Never thought of that, lol
My old set had one sliding cone shape and a hand full of pilot adapters. I still have the pilot bearing puller atleast.
