I'm looking for screwdriver like clutch drivers for 50's era cars. Any Ideas where to look?
Clutch drivers does anyone make them?

I have a set of Channellock drivers, and several insert bits for a magnetic driver from AT&G.

Used for fastening panels and parts on many of the cars from the 50's. and earlier. At least my 2 GM vehicles both have them. Headlight surrounds, door handle installation, etc.
I have a set of three differing sizes that were purchased from an online company. Can't remeber which one.

Back in the 50's and 60's, they were used on a variety of large appliances, including washers and dryers.

I have a couple of the indestro clutch screwdrivers,NOS and never used.Older mobile homes used clutch head screws.

Epstein's has Wilde clutch drivers. USA.

<------ That old truck has lots of clutch head bolts holding it together. The drivers are pretty easy to find. The bolts are not.

I'm glad to see the responses as to what these are used for.
I have 3 different size of these drivers and never knew what they were. I obviously never used them.
I got them somewhere in time in some tool lot that I got somewhere.
Even though I got them used, they all look totally unused. I guess the other guy never needed them either.

My parents 1976 Avion Travel trailer uses them for EVERYTHING. The old mom and pop ace hardware had a 70's NOS cluch screwdriver when we needed one.

NAPA has them in there tool catalog. Three sizes I brlive.
We actually had a neighbor (former tool and die maker) fabricate one for us many, many moons ago. He turned down a standard screwdriver; my dad needed it to fix our dryer, and wasn't willing to pay for a tool for just one use. It actually worked quite well.

There seems to be 5 sizes that I've found. Sets seem to be 5 as well.
Interesting.
I only have two, now I have to find the other sizes.

Last weekend, I saw clutch drivers at Menards under the MasterForce brand. They are made in the USA in several sizes.
