What do I look for to buy a replacement lock for my CM tool box. OK, I know there are several types. This one uses a round key and I suppose it's just a cam lock. But the key is gone, Jim, so I will get a whole new lock. I'd just like to see the backside of one before I order.

This is for a machinist box with no top lid.

They're not offered retail as singles as far as I know. You may be able to contact them directly and order a single lock. I'd just get the set and put the other 2 up.

I just replaced mine to all be keyed alike. If one of the old locks will fit it's yours.

OK well I'm having issues getting pics posted, but it's from a 26" CM ball earring cab.

the back of the lock has a recess to recieve the end of the rod that controls the drawer locking mechanism. You can see it in the picture posted above. Thats the one you want. Its different from all the cam locks on top chests. For a single lock, you might try Waterloo- I believe they probably made that box, and they are alot better to deal with than Searspartsdirect.
