I worked on MCI-MC9 motor coaches in the late 80's to 1999 and used clutch screw drivers for repairing the seats and interior. I have two maybe three diff size snap on clutch drivers. Try Snap On.

I don't know what to tell you about the screwdrivers, but thanks for posting that link.

Now if I could only figure out how to order from that catalog, I'd be in heaven.

I got mine from Snap-on... the larger ones get used a fair bit--my '56 and '57 Chevy have a few clutch-head fasteners, while my '61 Suburban has a bunch inside the doors, and the rear door hardware and brackets.
The little ones get used on Holley carb metering plates.

I actually have a clutch-head socket too--it was invaluable with an impact driver to remove the hardware on the barn doors of my Suburban.

My 41 chevy panel truck has them every place on its interior and on lots of the body panels too. When I got it I picked up a compete set of New Britain (SP??) brand drivers from the local napa store. They work ok but you really need a socket bit driver for the larger screws. Snap-On also sells clutch head bits and I have a set in my black ratcheting handle driver ( the only place they fit as they are longer than standard bits but shorter than the 1.5" bits that fit in the case)

Cool old catalog. Craftsman sold some pretty good stuff back then. Probably all made in the USA too. Any one know when that catalog was published? I didn't see a date on it.

I think I have a couple of old Proto clutch head screwdrivers that belonged to my grandfather.

IMHO, very rare; I have only found 1 craftsman clutch head screwdriver... this after flea market and used tool scrounging for many years.

Thank God for this site or I would never know what this driver was used for. I just found a third one from my scrounging. It's a SO ssdc-8 but with an older handle than the one in the pic. I don't know if I will ever find a use for these, but I hope to some day. Maybe it's a good excuse to buy an old Chevy.:3gears:
