I picked up a Cman cushion grip screwdriver like the ones below. I only bought one and it's gonna be part of a basic tool kit that goes in my backpack (I'm in IT, but can never find tools around the office). I've never seen these outside of an Ace Hardware. I even went to my local Sears in the mall and didn't see them, not even an empty hanger display... When you plug the model # into Google it only shows up in Ace hardware sites and other weird tool suppliers (not the big ones we're accustomed to seeing)... any ideas?

I bough an 8 piece set of these at Ace on sale for $19.99 around Thanksgiving. Seemed like a nice set for that price!

They're new and Sears wants $50 for a set that I;d happily pay that
for Wiha or C'man Pro.

For cushion grip WF? Never.

Let us know in 3, 6 and 12 months how they hold up.

I have a set of those I got about 5 years ago, they now have the same shanks as the basic sears screwdrivers. The ones I got had the same shank as the Husky Pros. My set has lasted quite well, those probably wont. Kinda irked me, I paid more for a better screwdriver tip and now if I warranty they will be a glorified basic CM screwdriver.

Look closely at the photo above, the two stubbies are the old design with the hardened tips. The others are the new style.

Should've gone with bit driver and bit socket/ratchet. Just saying. If space/weight is an issue that's what you go with. Actually nowadays I'm a bit socket junkie...just feels right/super easy on my wrists. Length=use an extension. I'll be honest...because I'm cheap it means I spend money on some gimmicky stuff, ultralight performance tool ratchet was probably the best purchase I could've made for 3 bucks at big lots; should've bought more. They still exist but not that cheap; they make the perfect bit ratchet hands down...I think they're lighter than actual plated bit ratchets haven't checked though.

This is nearly all my sears has now, but as others have pointed out they are the regular (aka SOFT) Cman drivers with better handles. I guess instead of warranting any Cman pro drivers I will just buy the same thing from SK.

I will say, however, that I came across one of these grip drivers with the interchangeable shank and tips at Sears for $10, would make a great house driver for the wife since the grip is great.

I bought the 19 piece set of those over a year ago from HJE....and I was not impressed. Not that I paid a lot....about $60 I believe......but, as someone else stated above, they seem to have the same shanks as the basic CM screwdrivers. That set will only set ya back about $20.00
