From what I can tell by looking at the online catalog is they are same tools as what was always at sears until the move east with the addition of "industrial" to the stamping. Until somebody tells me these are much better then the last USA offering in stores, I'm not interested. From when I started buying tools in the early 90's until know, craftsman has slide downhill so bad I have no care for them. I would rather support the new SK.

From the catalog, it does not look like they all are. The stuff that used to be called "Craftsman" some 3-4 years ago and made in USA, now is called Craftsman Industrial. I'm almost certain that they're made in the same forges from the same steel. Of course, they're now priced 2-3x more now, since they're targeted at corporate and government customers with deep pockets.

Federal pockets aren't that deep these days. It's nice that they're mostly US made but, it's still not really a professional grade tool. I would buy Snap on at 55% off list through their industrial sales division and Proto instead but, that's just me squeezing a nickel until the buffalo poos. we're not buying anything new anytime soon though:beer:
