Ok so anyone on here have a Cnc Plasmacam table? I went to Ohio about 1200 miles to pick one up I got the table, hypertherm powermax 380, computer and 4 art disc for a good price. The guy offered me his air compressor I had said no thanks he was asking 1,700. I have had it for about 11/2 months now and I blew up my 60gal 6.5 hp craftsman I could rebuild it for 300 or put that towards a new one. This would be its 1st major rebuild the bearings and crank have been replaced once by me 4yrs ago and once by the previous owner.

Im looking a this one http://www.tractorsupply.com/ingersoll-rand-5-hp-60-gal-single-stage-air-compressor-3301332 anyone here have on and what do you think about it is it super loud?

It's not super loud, and puts out enough air it should exceed your demand with the plasma, plus it's HD and should last a long time. I like mine thus far, but it does'nt get used non stop everyday either...just typical garage tinker project stuff. Used it to paint one of my work trucks, kept up just fine, never had to wait for it to catch up

Did the Craftsman die from just being run to long? Was it an oilless model by chance?

Yes it was a oil-less model and it has been brought back twice the guy before me replaced the bearings and something was not right so I bought it for $1 a gal and rebuilt it and it lasted me 4yrs.

How do you like your plasmacam? I'm shopping for a torchmate as soon as I have funds.

The few days I have got to play with it I like it! If I had to do it over again I would! I'd make sure I do my research Because there is 2 different Software packages. There is older software and newer software lot more options with the newer software. The newer software cost two grand and you need that order to run the pipe cutter attachment
