I am looking at buying a 4'x8' CNC router with a tool changer. I will mainly be cutting plastic, wood, and thinner aluminum. Does anyone have experience with routers that can help with brands or features to look for or avoid?

Got a laguna swift 4x8 for home hobby use and some side job stuff back in May. It seems like a decent unit. Wish I’d gotten a tool changer.

If this makes enough $$ to justify a new machine with tool changer the next one will be a laguna.

Great machine. Good support. You can get an auto loader and an unloading table as options
Good operator interface. Can program at the machine without knowing gcode.

Runs plywood, mdf, particle board, 3form,

Vacuum table has zones so your not trying to pull a vacuum across the whole table. Vacuum zone can be small as 24” x 24”. Spoilboard bolts down with nylon bolts so the spoilboard won’t warp overnight.

dr_clyde - Want to keep the cost under $40k. This will be used in a commercial setting.
