Hey guys,

Relatively new here, and the end is in sight for my little 18'x24' pole barn build in southeast Pennsylvania (build thread will happen soon!). We just poured the floor on Saturday, and I'm stuck wondering what I should do with the floor before I start loading up the garage and dirtying it.

I'm all about practicality, not so much looks, so what I'm looking for is something that's easy to clean, keeps dust down, and is durable. Use will be for car storage and basic maintenance, nothing will be going in or out on a daily basis. Thoughts on a good product that would meet my needs? Also, it's starting to get a bit cold here, would it be possible to heat the garage and get a floor coating down still, or am I SOL till spring?

Thanks for the help!

Options are many. Densifier treatment, acrylic sealer, epoxy sealer..,
Define your budget and then start your research.

Scotty,

Not looking to break the bank, and epoxy sealing doesn't really seem to fit the bill. I'm currently leaning towards your HD39 densifier or the HD-6500 acrylic sealer.

The product descriptions on the data sheets are pretty similar between the two, IMO. Would you have a recommendation on one over the other? Really just looking for something that will hold up to fabrication work, automotive work, various fluid spills, and the occasional dropped tool.

Thoughts on getting it applied before it gets really cold out up here in the NE? Should I consider having a pro apply it?
