Coatings with Calcium Chloride

I'm currently building a new house and my garage floor slab was just poured. I am planning on coating the slab in the spring. I hadn't even thought about it ahead of time, but the flatwork guys used a 2% calcium chloride admixture because of cool temperatures.

I had originally planned on acid staining with a clear epoxy topcoat, but am now reading that the calcium chloride can make acid stain look splotchy. Would a water based stain also look splotchy? Should I just give up on the idea of a stain and go with a solid color epoxy or polyurea coating?

Thanks for your response. What would you suggest for a protective coating over your DeltaDye? The garage will be used as a typical residential garage, not planning on doing anything that's tough on the garage floor.

I have applied 100% solids epoxy coatings to two previous garages with good results, but anything that will suit my needs and be easier to apply would be beneficial.

You could use our SPGX, it should be fine on this floor. This is a one part single application Polyurea/Polyaspartic coating. Comes in clear or colors.

Our HD6525MMA is low cost and easy to use. Very popular with this product and more important has been TESTED.
