Coats 850 balancer

Anyone have experience with the Coats 850? Been looking around for a balancer for home use and ran across a used one. Not sure what to look for and how to check it out to see if it works correctly. Any real world experience with or recommendations would be great.

Find a manual online a read about it. Some older balancers don’t do adhesive weights, so not sure if you need that option. Coats and hunter are industry standard, so last quite awhile. I would bring a wheel with me and put it on the unit and have it do a spin out. If there are any errors there is most likely a problem. You can buy cheaper home units now that also do the job for light use.

i bought an 850 a couple of years ago. It does a nice job and you can get the operation manuals online.
