Hey all!

I got a used Coats 850 recently, for what I thought was a good price, but it seems to chase wights. Per the manual, I used a 14" wheel with a 195 tire from a 1999 camry to calibrate it. I used 2 2oz weights but NOT back to back; I epoxied them top to bottom, almost perfectly recreating the calibration 4oz calibration weights I see online. It worked great on that 1999 camry and two wheels from a 2010 elantra. A few weeks later I did the other two elantra wheels and it chased wieghts. What's worse, I did newer prius wheels (VERY light 15" 195/65r15) and it chased wrights on one of those, too. the other was 0 and 0 out of the gate.

So it seems it works, but it chases weights. If I play along, eventually I get a perfect balance. Is there anything I can do? it doesnt grind or wobble or anything - is there new sensors I can buy? something I can clean? Googling has lead me nowhere except to the manual I already have.

Thanks!
