Hello first time posting here so sorry if its not the right place.
I picked up a coats rc15a tire machine over the summer for a little bit of nothing, it works but has a bad air leak. I had time the last few days too look at it and its coming from the foot peddle manifold, i assumed it was an old oring and replaced them but still the same trouble. Its coming from the exhaust of the bead breaker side on the manifold and only leaks when i release the peddle, if ha keep it partially depressed theres no leak. Anyone have an idea what would cause this?

You need to rebuild the bead breaker cylinder. The air is leaking past the seals, back into the foot pedal control and thru the exhaust port.

FYI, my cylinder was in bad shape internally. But replacements were insane $$$....so I floated some JB weld in there, and sanded it down. Works great!

After I did mine...the table clamps started leaking! It never ends!

That's really good that you found the exact rebuild kit.

For other tire machine pneumatics, I have a couple of old hunter machines. I'm up in Canada and the cylinders were $700 Canadian each. I could not get them apart to rebuild. I managed to match them up with cylinders on ebay, I got 2 for $50usd shipped from China. I had to modify the mounting points to be the same as the hunter stuff, was pretty easy.

I have a COATS 7060EX and it works great but it sometimes fails to release a rim after it’s been clamped down - regardless of how you clamp the rim (from the outside or the inside). I often have to disconnect the air to the machine in order to loosen the clamps. Any idea what that could be?

I'd start by checking the foot control valve. First for correct mechanical operation, then secondly, for an internal leak that is causing the air to leak past the O-ring on the piston and hold the table clamps in place. I doubt it is the table piston itself. Any leak there would cause poor holding pressure.

I've measured and bought the control valve o-rings from mcmaster.

I just started having my table clamps leaking. Has anyone had this and found a fix?
