For what application? In a garage, I cant think of a worse choice. (Maybe those fold up ones).
Lighting-wise, they are the scourge of the industry.
Over the last few years, they've been being re-engineered to get them to a lower price point, which only makes them less reliable than they already are. Doesn't matter what brand or wattage, they're all junk.

I have seven of them that have been burning all night, every night in my exterior fixtures for over five years. I didn't get them because of the quality of light, they are outside so I don't care, I got mine because of the color, they are the only screw in lamps I could find in 2200K. I wouldn't want them even in 5000K for an interior light unless I had no other choice but incandescent.

I took the Fluorescent Fixtures out of my Workshop and put in the cheap Folding Panel Lights.
Light Level has gone up and the operating costs are lower.

I have 6 300w equivalent cobs spread over my lift and it works well for me.
There are 16 total edison fixtures in my 30x40 with the 6 cobs and the rest are 100w equivalent bulbs. The ceiling is white so the light is dispersed well and if I need more light it's just a simple bulb change.

Thanks guys. I did like the light I got from them but hate replacing them every 6 months at the price they cost

I had one in a yard light at my last house. Only changed the bulb once after 4-5 years of run time and moved before the next one needed replacement. These ran dusk to dawn, daily.
