I have a 2/0 SER aluminum feed cable going to the sub panel in my garage. Is there anything in the electrical code about what size connector it has to go through entering the panels? It will fit through a 1 1/2", I just want to make sure that I don't need a larger size to meet code. Thanks.

No. Whatever the correct fitting is will determine the KO size.

The knockout in the panel for the main feed is multiple sizes, so I can punch it out as big as needed to fit the correct size connector.
