Re: My 24x24 Garage

Been a while since I updated this, but have a small, but pivotal update that will allow me to get busy.

Finally cleaned up my oil stain, that will allow me to paint the foundation walls and then I can throw the race deck flooring down.

After some masonry cleaner and then some muriatic acid.

Re: My 24x24 Garage

Well Friday I started some painting, I started with a small area first and then threw some tiles down. Of course with my luck other things took priority, so this is all I got done.

For the paint I picked up some flat black. I'm honestly not very happy. I was thinking I should of gone with satin, but was convinced to do flat. I think satin would match the black tiles better. Also its not very black black to me.

If it ends up taking more than the two gallons to go all the way around, I mean pick up some satin to go over the flat.

Big question is the wood on top of the concrete, that is the base board for the wall. Should I do that in black? I'm thinking of doing a Gray on the walls and then planning on adding some molding to the bottom of the walls, to help finish it off better.

Re: My 24x24 Garage

I trimmed the sill plate out in my garage and painted it the same color as the walls. I'm happy with how it came out, but I don't have a fancy floor that I was concerned about tying in to. Here's a shot of mine in progress:

I will saying painting this concrete has been a bit of a pain due to the pin holes

But progress so far. I hoping to make more when I'm home on vacation next week.

Had to trim the rail to allow the flooring to slide under

I love the racedeck flooring. I still need to move the cabinets, shelves, and fridges, and put tiles under them.

Only complaint I have is one box of my graphite had a bunch of tiles with bent female loops.

The floor looks great! That Goat is Gorgeous! Is the parchment dash an original color? I like it.

That's unfortunate about the bent loops. I'm sure the RD people will make it right, but still a pain. In the end, your place will be amazing as it seems is already the case.

It is what it is, just took some extra effort to get them locked down. At this point I don't know which they are, so I'm not going to bother with having them replaced.

Thank you. Actually no, the car would of came with a black dash, originally. When we got the car, someone had dyed the interior white and redid the dash in white. When the interior was redone to the parchment, the upholstery guy couldn't get any sizeable amount of parchment itself. So we picked out a white Pearl that was semi close.
