Coffee table and a stool

A few projects from some recent wood I milled and came out of the wood kiln.

The hard maple in the furniture is what I milled, the dark is sapele, an African hardwood bought from a supplier.

There is some red oak in both too.

How is the tabletop created ?

That's pretty neat and out of the ordinary. Nice work! What are the dimensions of the coffee table?

The tabletop is separate pieces shaped and glued together.

Th coffee table is around 40" long by 27 at its widest point

Our G-kids use ours as an anvil,a launch pad,fort...you name it.

The finish is linseed rubbed for the first two days then a rubbed coat of poly cut with 70 mineral spirits this locks the linseed and gives durability without a plastic finish.

I work with the wood the way I feel like on a given day not really following anyones style.

I do a lot of very tradition style pieces for orders.

Absolutely beautiful!

I love the look and feel of wood pieces. I wish I could do it, but my abilities lay more along the automotive line.

If I could ever have Brad's Perfect Set-up, I'd have a hot rod shop with all the tools and equipment I need, and a 12x24 wood shop building.

Well thats good, I am halfway done with a dinning table, have to design some chairs for it next.

Thanks for the name, instead of coffee table its the bacon table

very nice work. I use the wedged tennons a lot also. I will have to try the contrasting wood some time. I usually go for simple.
