Coke cooler question

A friend gave me a Coke cooler like you see at the grocery store checkout with glass on both sides and one side opens. It likely would hold about 200 bottles of coke or other amber beverages.

It isnt cooling but the compressor runs. Does anybody know how efficent this unit would be to run as a garage fridge? I'm trying to justify getting it fixed and if it is efficient, I'd spend some coin on it. If its a pig on hydro, I wont waste time or money on it

Appreciate all input!

Just my .02 is that is certainly isn't "energy star" rated. It's a commercial machine with relatively poor insulation qualities (especially the glass doors) as compared to a new refrigerator. That said, it would cost more to operate than a new refrigerator, but definitely has way more "cool factor" in the garage. My old soda fountain and soda machines have compressors and fans that run quite a bit of the time, even though I've serviced them so that they have the proper refrigerant charge, clean condensors and evaporators, etc.). Would I trade them for a new refrigerator and lower electric bill......no way!

I had a glass sided Slice soda cooler. It ran all the time in the summer. My shop doesn't have ac. And condesation would run down the sides of it. I would sell your cooler on Craigslist and go get a newer fridge. I got a compressorless small fridge for $80 at Target. It will only cool to a low of 37 degrees. But they claim it uses less power than a 100 watt light bulb. Hell it will probably cost more than $80 to have the cooler repaired
