Cold cut saw?

I'm getting fairly confused about which cold cut saw to buy. I've seen some that are made by MK Morse, DeWalt and Makita. They all turn about the same speed...1,300 RPM+-. Then I saw some on Enco's sight that were twice as much money. They turned at 52 RPM...52 RPM??

Anyway, looking to move to a cold saw...any explanation/recommendations?

Those are dry cut saws. Cold saws are different, the Low RPM with coolant, usually high HP 3 phase motors. They are fantastic for tubing. The blades are typically HSS and the blades can be changed for different applications. They can usually be set up to leave a burr-free machined edge-like finish. My buddy has a Scotchman with a semi-auto pneumatic vise and I would love to have it in my garage.

I have a DeWalt dry cut and hate it. Flings razor sharp, red hot shards everywhere. The clamp mechanism also *****. The MK Morse one looks better, but I'm still not a huge fan of the high RPM carbide tipped blades.

Ive got the makita and love it. Don't know about the other but when looking at them look at the base also to see how it adjust and how solid it is. I like the makita havn't really looked at other ones. I couldn't buy something called rong fu. Its wrong from the get go. 52 has got to be a typo.

52 is not a typo. It's a cold saw. That's how they work. They are fed with coolant to keep the blade cool. Dry cut saws need the RPM to air cool the blade.
