Looking for a jump starter to keep in my truck. Looked at a JNC 770B. Found that it shouldn't be stored at temps below 50 degrees. Kind of defeats the purpose when I live in Michigan.

Yea Im gonna hafta call total bs on it being stored below 50F. I towed professionally and we all use that same jump pack. Literally lives in the truck and gets abused 7 days a week and it gets DAMN cold here in NJ. Never once had an issue with one.

The 770B is my choice. I've bought three in the last year for the vehicles and they're kept in the cold.

Where'd you get the 50° number from? I looked at the manual for mine and it does recommend an ideal storage temperature of 68°, but that's not a limit by any means. It's a lead acid battery, not terribly different from your truck's battery. It'll be diminished somewhat at lower temperatures, but there's not a jump pack out there that wouldn't be. The JNC jump packs are the top dogs, don't bother with anything else.

I have a lithium ion jump pack made by Duracell. Decided to test it by leaving it in the car on a zero degree day and then used it to jump a 4 liter v6 with a completely dead battery that night, worked perfectly

My NOCO40 was used on Monday and no issues. Its stored in back of my truck at -32C Monday morning. Its a lithium type booster, fits in glove box. I read heat can kill them but that has not happened and my black truck gets stinking hot when parked.

I now carry the NOCO GB70 in my Jeep. I had to use it a few months back to jump a guy that we came across on a trail. Worked great. I keep it stored in my toolbox in my Jeep and it sits outside in ambient temps all day but in a somewhat warm garage at night. Ambient temps here vary but have been below freezing lately, no issues thus far.

+1 on the lithium small sized boosters. Lithium doesn't lose charge like lead does, so you can charge it and forget it.

I got the Gooloo 1000A, has worked perfect the few times i've used it so far.

Usually has 98% power left after a boost.
