I have 2 i did use them some but i only used one 2 times last year mainly because my tools being in 2 diffrent locations. I worked in a shop that had one and we used it alot. I wanted one and a army surplus had one. I never ask about it thinking it would be high but one day a was looking for a chuck and the owner told me he would sell it for what the chuck was worth and i could scrap the rest.

My dad has one and I do as well. I've only used mine once lol. He used his alot he said back when he farmed "before battery powered tools were around or good".
Use mine when I need to drill a hole larger than 1/2" in something that can't
be placed in the drill press.
Have found it to work great with a good quality drill bit, it is
on the slow side when using the cheaper drill bits, although these seem to work OK in
a drill press.(I always drill a pilot hole)
Made $50.00 last time I used it.
