I drive a truck in the San Francisco Bay area. About three weeks ago I noticed a group of buildings in an office park in San Jose in the early phases of a re-hab project. A few days later they put up some signs announcing "Club Auto Sport". I goggled that name and discovered that this is going to be car-condos for car collectors in the Silicon Valley area.

From an article in "The Mercury News" it sounds like it will be a bunch of "garagettes"and potentially some interesting cars.

Just thought some of you might find that interesting, I did.

It is not the only deal I have heard of combining cars and condos but I'll have to drive past this one several times each day when I'm at wok.

I have seen a few of these around the country.
All kinds of cars and owners.
The big thing is if it is storage only or if they allow working on the cars.
Some are like dealer show rooms. Others are like the sevice department.

Very cool idea. It would be great to have a lot of "car guy" neighbors. I'm lucky that I do where I live (not all that uncommon in Detroit). There's a sub near me with extra large lots and an HOA, and the bylaws specifically ALLOW detached garages. As a result, many (1/2 or so) of the homes have an attached as well as a detached garage. Now that's thinkin'!
