Hello fellow enthusiasts!
I guess I should have started here, but I got too excited reading the forum posts and ended up starting a thread before I even introduced myself. Sorry!
My story is that I recently just purchased my first home with my first garage and I couldn't be more excited after having discovered this site.
I have lived many different places, but never really had a home to call my own (nothing permanent anyway). I am a glorified filter-changer by trade and I work on a little boat off the coast of South America. I have all the typical interests of cars, motorcycles, fabrication, building, and general tinkering. I am hoping to set myself on the path to have the garage that every one of my friends wishes they had. 
I firmly believe that he who dies with the most toys, wins.
Sadly I am bit behind in the game and have some catching up to do.
I look forward to learning from you all, and hopefully some day I will be able to pass on some knowledge myself.
