The floors that I'm always impressed with are those that are done when the concrete is poured/ finished -- some have been waxed. They seem to have a lighter aura about them -- look more natural ....stone like.
Those done after always look "overdone" heavy .. I suspect because that have to cover up.
I would have no trouble fining a great concrete guy in NYC -- not the case in Eastern PA.
