Just got a call from an old customer, we were talking in his garage today about tools etc. older guy. I told him to call me when he wanted to start getting rid of tools or machinery. He called and asked what I'd give him for his vise, he got a bigger one.

It's a Columbia..No 031/2 made in Cleveland Ohio.
What do you guys think a fair offer would be? Don't want to offend this Nice Guy or burn any chances on future purchases. Thanks guys..

U & D: i'm not sure that is the model # for your friend's Columbian. any chance you might have or can you get a few pictures? condition is a big part of what to offer so you'll need to know if any broken parts, welds or repairs or missing pieces if any are part of the equation too.

once you get pictures you can post and if nobody sees them you can PM me and i'll try to help if I can.

also if no pictures are available then just the width of the jaws when they are closed will give me (us) an idea of it's size.

good luck

Thanks for the reply Drives. Unfortunately I didn't know it was for sale when I was there. I did see it while we were talking, paint was the only issue I saw, just old. When he called I asked if there were any problems with it, he said none. It's a 3 1/2"
