Columbian 503

I'm working on a Columbian 503 vice. I can't for the life of me get the jaw slide to move. Tried most everything i know of up to soaking it in lube for a week. I thought I'd post here and see if anyone had any ideas.

There was a vise restoration thread recently featuring a video. In it a couple of pieces of threaded rod were used to pull a stuck vise open. Unfortunately, I don't have the link.
