As the title says I've disassembled my vice to clean it up and repaint it. On the inside of the main body of the vice is a collar that the lead screw screws into. There is a pin that holds this collar in place. It looks as if the pin can be driven out but I'm not sure which direction it should be driven. I've included a pic. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the info! To reinstall it I'm assuming I'll have to drive it in from inside the vice body? Can't get a hammer in there. Any ideas?

Use a punch it's not too bad, it should slide in fairly easily. It's just a snug fit nothing requiring a 3# hammer.
