Found this Columbian G44 for $20.00. Any information about it would be great, I can't find anything on the model. It's 4 inch jaws.

Owner says nothing broken or repaired, obviously it's a swivel base.

Thanks!

That one was probably built in the late '40's to late '50's tme-frame, going by its 'styling'.

It is the 'light duty' model of Columbian bench vises, which was variously called a 'home shop vise', or 'garage vise', meaning home 'hobby shop' garage, and are 'better than nothing' if one has only light and occasional use for a vise..

They are popular with welding and fabrication workers, as they are light, and its easy to clamp up one or more to a welding table when fixturing a job.

cheers
