Columbian vise pipe jaw question

I have a Columbian vise with a set of pipe jaws that slip onto the screw. The problem is that they slip off. I'm constantly picking them up off the floor.
Is there anything I can do to keep them in place or should I just store them separately from the vise?

I think I found a fix. I installed them and put a rubber band (actually a 1" wide slice of a bicycle inner tube) around the pair. They haven't out since.
